Teaching Focus:

Visual Arts

Jennifer Heintz is a trained Waldorf teacher, (teaching handwork and handcrafts), where the pedagogy of the curriculum is to bring out a child’s full potential through imagination and creativity.  For almost five years, she has been teaching art in private schools throughout British Columbia and Ontario. She is also a licenced Family Therapist for more than twenty years, with a focus on anxiety, autism and addiction disorders in teens and young adults.  Jennifer completed a degree in Administrative Studies, at York University, before changing to Psychology, and frequently uses art therapy in her practice.

Teaching Philosophy: Jennifer’s teaches creative art that is fun for all ages and inspires students. Children engaging in art, perform better at academic subjects and have enhanced emotional and social experiences. It also improves 3-D thinking, problem solving, perseverance and focus.
