This workshop is for adults who would like to awaken their creative spirit. The guiding principle is that when we come together to create, we build compassion for ourselves and our community. And we have fun! This is a workshop that is focused more on process than product, with each week introducing a new creative technique to ignite your creative curiosity. The goal is to build a small portfolio of art that might surprise you, inspire you and spark a little something new in you. No artistic experience required.

Workshop Structure:
Week 1
Get hands-on with tools and techniques as you practice carving and printing your own small stamp, experimenting with patterns and designsWeek 2
Make a one-of-a-kind greeting card, playing with composition, lettering, and personal touchesWeeks 3 & 4
Bring your ideas to a larger print for a wall hanging, with the option to extend your design onto fabric such as a t-shirt or tote bag

Discover the joy of watercolour in this welcoming six-week course designed for adults at all experience levels. Through hands-on exploration, you will build foundational skills in colour mixing, washes, light and shadow, texture, and painting from observation working from nature, still life, and your own reference images. Each class builds on the last, giving you the skills and confidence to express yourself through your art. Whether you are picking up a brush for the very first time or returning to a practice you love, this course offers a supportive space to grow, experiment, and find your unique artistic voice. You will leave with a body of finished paintings and the tools to keep creating long after the final class. No prior experience necessary, just a curiosity to create.
