After earning a Bachelor of Music in Performance degree from the University of Toronto, Helen immediately moved to London, England to study with internationally renowned violinist/concertmaster Rodney Friend for 3 years.
Upon her return to Canada, she won the position of Associate Concertmaster with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra after performing regularly with them.
She has also performed with other orchestras including Sinfonia Toronto, Toronto Concert Orchestra, Toronto Philharmonia, and Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony.
Internationally she has performed with Sinfonia Toronto in concert tours of the United States, South America (Peru, Argentina, and Uruguay) and China. She has also performed for the Canada Walk of Fame Gala, Luminato Festival, Nuit Blanche, and in musicals such as the Toronto Productions of Anne of Green Gables and Phantom of the Opera. In addition to performing for popular artists such as Rod Stewart, Andrea Bocelli, Il Divo, Seth MacFarlane, Diana Krall, Canadian Tenors, and the Moody Blues, Helen has recorded for films, television commercials, and music albums for Hallmark Canada and Fisher Price.
