Level IV Ballet

HCA School of Dance

Level IV Ballet

Level IV Ballet builds on the fundamentals of Level III, introducing more complex coordination, head positions, and classical alignments like croisé and effacé. Students focus on mastering transitions and balance while adapting to a more traditional ballet class structure. This level emphasizes self-discipline, encouraging dancers to take greater ownership of their training both in class and at home. It is a key stage where technique, artistry, and independence begin to align.

In Level IV, students take class twice per week.

Aurora Martínez is a Mexican ballet dancer who began her training at the age of 9. She studied for nine years at the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey (Superior School of Music and Dance of Monterrey), where she performed regularly with the professional company Ballet de Monterrey. During this time, she danced as part of the Corps de Ballet in productions such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, La Bayadère, and others.

Aurora continued her development through international summer programs, including the International Meeting of Ballet Academies in Havana, Cuba, and the Córdoba Dance Festival. At the latter, she was awarded a scholarship to attend The Rock School for Dance Education in Pennsylvania.

After graduating, Aurora joined Ballet de Monterrey as a company member for six years. There, she performed in classical, neo-classical, and contemporary works, touring extensively throughout Mexico and Europe. Alongside her performing career, she taught ballet, jazz, and conditioning classes, and became a certified coach in Barre, Jump, and Body Sculpt methods.

Aurora is passionate about sharing her experience and helping to nurture the next generation of dancers. She is thrilled to be part of the team and looks forward to working with all of you.
