Classes run for 7 weeks (Tuesday, July 7 – Friday, August 18), unless otherwise noted.

Intro to Gouache Painting
This 4-week gouache workshop introduces participants to the medium through the exploration of flowers, patterns, and personal composition. Participants will begin by learning foundational techniques and gradually move toward creating floral forms. This workshop encourages creativity, observation, and confidence, and is suitable for beginners as well as those with some painting experience.

Workshop Structure:
Week 1: Introduction to Gouache
- Introduction to materials and surfaces
- Understanding gouache properties (opacity, layering, blending)
- Colour mixing exercises
- Basic brush control and painting exercises
Week 2: Flower Creation Using Gouache
- Understanding flower forms and structure
- Creating flowers using brush techniques
- Experimental flower-making in folk style
Week 3: Pattern Making and Pattern Landscape
- Introduction to pattern-making inspired by nature
- Creating floral and landscape-based repeating patterns
- Understanding rhythm, balance, and visual harmony
- Developing decorative compositions
Week 4: Self-Composed Artwork
- Planning and creating a personal gouache painting
- Combining flowers, patterns, and learned techniques
- Individual guidance and feedback
- Completing a finished artwork

Intro to Printmaking
Explore the fundamentals of linocut printmaking in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop. Over four weeks, you’ll carve and print three distinctive projects, ranging from small-scale stamps to greeting cards and wall hangings. By the end, you’ll have a curated collection of original prints and the confidence to continue developing your linocut practice.

Week 1
Get hands-on with tools and techniques as you practice carving and printing your own small stamp, experimenting with patterns and designsWeek 2
Make a one-of-a-kind greeting card, playing with composition, lettering, and personal touchesWeeks 3 & 4
Bring your ideas to a larger print for a wall hanging, with the option to extend your design onto fabric such as a t-shirt or tote bag
School of Dance
Creative Ballet
Creative Ballet is an exciting introduction to ballet through creative movement and expression. Students participate in high-energy exercises that teach them the foundations of ballet while fostering confidence and creativity.
MINIS COMBO
Get ready to groove in Minis Combo, where children dive into the basics of dance with upbeat music and a fun introduction to jazz and hip hop! Students will gain confidence as they explore their spatial awareness, physical expression, and begin to learn choreography.
ADULT CONTEMPORARY
Explore the fusion of jazz, ballet, and modern techniques in Adult Contemporary. Through improvisation and creative movement, dancers will unlock their expressive potential and hone their technical skills in choreography.
Beginner Adult Ballet
Beginner Adult Ballet is designed for older teens and adults who may be new to the art form. Master the fundamentals of ballet while enhancing strength and flexibility, exploring barre and centre work, and developing a sense of artistry by learning variations.
Intermediate Adult Ballet
Delve deeper in developing your ballet technique and master more intricate movement sequences in Intermediate Adult Ballet. Explore advanced techniques at the barre, in centre, and across the floor.
Advanced Adult Ballet
Refine your ballet technique and challenge yourself with more repertoire in Advanced Adult Ballet. Dive deeper into complex movement sequences, both at the barre and across the floor.
Prerequisite: Enrolment in this class requires 2-3 years of ballet experience in our ballet program or comparable experience, or with a teacher’s recommendation.
