MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Megan Millar
Megan Millar began her journey in dance at the tender age of two, instantly discovering a deep-rooted passion that has only grown stronger with time. She honed her skills training in ballet and competing in various dance styles, including jazz, tap, acrobatics, and lyrical, at That’s Dancing in Hamilton, Ontario. Megan’s dedication and talent led her to York University, where she graduated in 2021 with an Honours degree in Dance Choreography and Performance.
During her time at York, Megan trained in contemporary dance forms, learning Limón technique with Keiko Thompson, Graham technique with Syreeta Hector, various Modern dance techniques with Tracey Norman, and Cecchetti Ballet with Jennifer Bolt. She showcased her choreographic talent through two notable works, “The Art of Being Seen” and “Overlook.”
After a few years of teaching, Megan decided to further her training at the CLI Conservatory in 2024, as Megan truly believes you are always a student and must be ready to grow at all times. At CLI Megan worked with renowned choreographers such as Brian Nicholson, JBlaze, and many others. Megan performed in various live stage performances, including “And Suddenly” by Montse Villarreal, “Never a Frown” by Kai Javier, and “The Last Dance” with a team of distinguished choreographers such as Nicholas Palmquist, Robert Green, and Teddy Forance. Her versatility extends to dance film, where she has taken on roles such as a feature dancer in Nina McNeely’s “De Profundis” and an extra in Wade Robson’s “Element”.
