ABOUT Victoria

Victoria Long (she/her) is a Visual and Community Artist.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from McMaster University, she started work as an Artist Educator.  She is an original faculty member of the HCA Children’s Arts Exploration Program and Culture for Kids in the Arts (CKA) Mentorship program which together introduced over 55,000 children and youth from regional and local school boards to visual arts, dance, drama and music during her practice as a visual arts instructor from 1998 – 2010.  Her current practice is interwoven with the many artists, educators and many, many children, youth and emerging artists she has worked with over the last 25 years. Victoria is the Program/Operations Manager for Arts For All, a charitable organization of HCA that Vitek Wincza founded in 1999 to make arts accessible to all.  She enjoys and appreciates ALL the communities, partners and friendships she collaborates with and serves.  She is a current Member supporting Hamilton Verse and volunteers as Vice-Chair for Today’s Family Board of Directors. She has received recognition from the Industry Education Council Hamilton, 2010 and City of Hamilton Arts Education Award in 2013.  Victoria is looking forward to continuing to learn and create together with youth attending the HCA Teens Art program this year
