ABOUT BILL
Bill Majoros is a guitar teacher with 30 years of experience. His passion for music results in lessons that are educational, creative and fun. Bill enjoys working with various ages and skill levels, customizing friendly lessons to suit each student’s needs.
Bill Majoros is an award winning Canadian singer/ songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist who releases music under the name of The Foreign Films (on Warner Brothers/ Sonic Envy Records), and has worked with Alanis Morissette, The Tragically Hip, George and Giles Martin (The Beatles producers), Pete Best (original drummer for The Beatles), Jewel, Blue Rodeo, The Goo Goo Dolls, 5440, Big Sugar, Robyn Hitchcock, Daniel and Bob Lanois, Blood Sweat and Tears, The Sadies, Echo and the Bunnymen, Big Wreck, Sum 41, The Spoons, Carl Jennings (Freedom Train), Dave Rave, Universal Honey/ The Pursuit of Happiness, The Grapes of Wrath, Del Amitri, Fountains of Wayne, Flux AD, The Nines etc.
Majoros has played hundreds of shows spanning North America and the UK, from clubs such as The Legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool (of Beatles fame), the famous CBGB’s in NYC, 1st Ave in Minneapolis (Prince, Purple Rain), to stadium shows and festivals supporting many well-known artists. A native of Hamilton Ontario, Majoros has been nominated for and received prestigious music/arts awards (such as Hamilton Alternative Album of the Year, Best LP of the Year- The Netherlands HCTF 2018). Under the name The Foreign Films, he has released five critically acclaimed studio albums (including the 3LP, 31 songs, vinyl box set “The Record Collector”).
Bill studied music from Mohawk College Music, Mohawk College Jazz Improvisation Night School and University of Guelph Jazz Band.

“My goal is to be inspirational, bringing out the very best from each student. I strive to share the wonderful gift of music through teaching. Ultimately, we’ll develop instrumental techniques and philosophies that will help the student become an excellent musician.”
