Volunteer

Become a volunteer partner at HCA! We welcome eager individuals to help support our community. Please read below for current volunteer opportunities, and fill out our VOLUNTEER FORM. Thank you! 

HCA is currently looking for volunteer positions for the following upcoming events:

• HCA Dance + Theatre’s Performing Arts Sunday Series (PASS)
• HCA Winter Dance Recital
• HCA Music Performance Classes
• HCA Winter Music Gala

HCA Dance + Theatre – Performing Arts Sunday Series (PASS)

As a PASS volunteer, you will witness the behind-the-scenes of making a performance a success. Volunteers will experience breathtaking performances by national and critically acclaimed artists, as well as be invited to a reception after the performance, if applicable. All performances take place in the HCA Black Box Theatre.

PASS Volunteer Positions:

Ushers

Ushers take part in a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: checking tickets, guiding attendees to the Black Box Theatre, helping attendees find seating, engaging with audience members, handing out programs, and answering questions. Individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced and social environment will thrive in this position.

HCA Performances

Winter Dance Recital and June Recital (HCA Celebrates!)

Our dance recitals aims to challenge students, provide a positive performance experience, and allow students to demonstrate their developing skills for friends and family.

Volunteers will support young dancers during the dress rehearsal and during the performance. Volunteers will assist with supervision in the holding areas and organizing dancers in advance of their performances.

Lunch and snacks will be provided to volunteers.

The HCA Winter Dance Recital will take place on Sunday, December 16. The June Recital (HCA Celebrates!) will take place on Saturday, June 22. 

Any external volunteers 18+ must undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check. 

Music Performances/Gala Volunteers

HCA’s Music Performances and Galas are an opportunity for students to showcase their developing music skills with their family and friends. All music performances take place in the HCA Black Box Theatre.

Volunteer duties will include, but are not limited to: assisting the Event Coordinator in organizing and setting up for the show, welcoming attendees, helping attendees find seats, handing out programs, answering questions, as well as other tasks as needed on the day(s) of the performance(s). 

Our Winter Music Gala takes place on Friday, December 15. Our June Music Gala takes place on Saturday, June 15.
