Julianna Biernacki, from Welland ON, currently resides and is a practicing emerging artist in Hamilton ON. Biernacki obtained a BFA at McMaster University in 2021 with a minor in English and Literature. Biernacki’s work throughout her undergrad was mainly paintings about how others perceive our image, voyeurism, and display and spying. Now Biernacki’s work has pivoted to a completely textile practice in the form of handmade tufted rugs where she continues to explore the same concepts usually using the same motif of a window to frame her work.
