Lighter Than This – “It was the dead of winter when I began to contemplate my vision for this spring show. It was rare to see even a hint that spring was actually going to arrive. On occasion, I would look at the sky and see a bit of blue - a fleeting blush of colour that filled me with hope. Through those clouds, underneath the thick blanket of snow, spring is there, true and real. Somewhere. I put that hidden hopefulness into my work: lighter colours, playful brushstrokes, fresh light palette.”
