In Creative II, children will explore expression and music. They’ll learn basic movement vocabulary to support their understanding of classical ballet and use storytelling to better grasp movement concepts. Through building confidence through creativity, Creative Ballet II will lay the groundwork for a lasting love of dance!

With two class sections (Creative IIA and Creative IIB), it’s easy to fit class into your busy schedule.

UNIFORM

If you are registered in another type of style of dance (such as lyrical or modern) that is back to back with your ballet class, please purchase transition tights. If you are transitioning from hip hop into these classes, please inform your teachers and change quickly.

Absolutely no skirts or leg warmers please.

Payments can be made each month.

Monthly payments for Beginner Adult Ballet I are $86.17/month

Payments can be made three times per year, at the start of each school term.

The term payment for Beginner Adult Ballet I is $287.23/term

Registration Fee (Single Student): $30

Registration Fee (Family): $50

Costume Fee: TBC (for students participating in the year-end recital)

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Deanne Kearney

Deanne Kearney is a dance teacher, writer, researcher, and critic, currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Dance Studies at York University in Toronto, Ontario. She has completed both her MA and BFA in Dance at York University. She has danced professionally for over ten years and taught dance for over fifteen years. Her dance writing work has been featured in publications such as Dance Magazine, The Dance Current Magazine, Dance International, and Mooney on Theatre. Currently, she provides comprehensive reviews of a wide array of dance performances on her website, The Dance Debrief (DanceDebrief.ca).
