Junior Acting

Age Range: 9 – 12

Time Commitment: 1.5 hr/week

Learn about character development, improv and performance technique in a program built for students exploring acting for the first time! This upbeat, collaborative class lets students uncover how their unique qualities can influence their performance through improv, text study and rehearsal. Students will have the opportunity to participate in several invited performances throughout the year, including a final production in the HCA Black Box Theatre.

TERM ONE: Theatre Craft & Improvisation

TERM TWO: Collective Creation & Playwriting

TERM THREE: Set the Stage: Rehearsal and Performance

TAKE THE STAGE! This program culminates in an invited presentation in June in the HCA Black Box Theatre.

EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS! This program is an excellent complement to Junior Musical Theatre Ensemble.

PLEASE NOTE: This program will require attendance at dress rehearsals and performances in May and/or June (dates TBC).
