Advanced Teen Acting

Age Range: 14 – 18

Time Commitment: 2 hr/week

Advanced Teen Acting is an exploratory class that encourages actors to take risks, make bold choices, and build confidence. This program is designed for students who have some experience with acting, and are looking to take their skills to the next level! Through studying improv, text study, movement and collaborative creation, Advanced Teen Acting students will gain important acting tools in a supportive environment. Students will have the opportunity to participate in several invited performances throughout the year, including a collective creation project in the winter and a final production in the HCA Black Box Theatre.

Prerequisite: Teen Acting or with instructor’s permission.

TERM ONE:  Theatre Craft, Voice & Text

TERM TWO:  Collective Creation & Professional Development

TERM THREE: Set the Stage: Rehearsal and Performance

TAKE THE STAGE! This program offers several opportunities to perform on stage throughout the year.

PLEASE NOTE: This program will require attendance at dress rehearsals and performances in May and/or June (dates TBC).
