She completed her training in Classical Ballet and Dance at the Conservatory of Castella, in her home country of Costa Rica, with additional training at the Royal Academy of Dance in Monterrey, Mexico. She holds advanced degrees in Dance (National University of Costa Rica) and Dance Education (University of San Marcos, Costa Rica), and has trained at Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, in Havana, Cuba, and in Canada at the Hamilton City Ballet and the Teacher Training Program of Performing Arts Educators of Canada (PAE). She has danced in several ballets including Don Quixote (2006), Giselle (2007), the Nutcracker (2011, 2012), and Alice in Wonderland (2016).
Yancieth guides and nurtures students as they develop strong classical fundamental ballet skills while encouraging their passion, creativity and love of dance. Yancieth hopes to inspire students with her own love of learning.
