MINI MAKERS
HCA School of Visual Arts
Mini Makers
Welcome to Mini Makers, an art class specially designed for our youngest artists aged 2 to 4 years old. These sessions are a playful introduction to the world of art, where little ones explore colours, textures, and shapes in a supportive and joyful environment. Each class is a new adventure, filled with fun projects that encourage self-expression and creativity. Children will engage with a variety of art materials and techniques, from finger painting to collaging, allowing them to discover and express their unique artistic vision. Activities are designed to stimulate the senses, enhancing tactile and visual experiences through hands-on interactions with different media. Our classes offer a friendly space for little ones to make new friends, learn to share, and cooperate on projects.
Parent Participation Required: Parents or guardians are warmly invited to join and support their little artists during class. This shared experience strengthens bonds and creates memories.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Koi Baswick
Koi Baswick is a visual artist with a focus on making cartoons and digital art. Koi first discovered their interest in art thanks to the cartoons they watched when they were young, and as they got older their fascination for animation only continued to grow. Being able to bring drawings to life seemed like magic, and it felt like a truly limitless medium where any story could be brought to life in ways that would otherwise be impossible. Being from the small town of Port Colborne, there weren’t many opportunities to pursue art outside of their home or school. Koi found community on the internet, as it was a place to view, learn about, and post their own art. They also loved going to Comic-Con and other similar conventions, getting to meet vendors selling their art and other people who were just as passionate about animation as them. Someday Koi hoped to be one of the art vendors selling their art too.
