Advanced ADULT BALLET +
Advanced Adult Ballet + is offered to dancers currently enrolled in a ballet class at HCA who are looking to expand their training. This supplementary class provides additional time to refine technique, build stamina, and deepen musicality and artistry. With a focus on complex combinations, nuanced performance quality, and continued strength development, it supports dancers in reaching their full potential. Ideal for experienced adults committed to maintaining and advancing their classical ballet practice.
Pre-requisite: Students in Advanced Adult Ballet + must be enrolled in at least one ballet class at HCA during the week.
UNIFORM
- Bodywear: Leotard or snug fitting attire (leggings and tank tops accepted)
- Tights (recommended): So Danca TS-74 Footed Light Pink
- Footwear: Any light pink canvas ballet slipper

Payments can be made three times per year, at the start of each school term.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Heather Dunn
Heather Dunn began her professional ballet training at a young age at Canada’s National Ballet School, where she studied intensively for five years. After graduating, she moved to England to continue her training at the English National Ballet School, earning a Trinity National Diploma in Professional Dance and performing with the English National Ballet.
She began her professional career with the Scottish Ballet and, in the early years, also danced with the Tivoli Ballet Theatre in Copenhagen and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Her career included appearances in several international galas around the world.
She later joined The Royal Danish Ballet, where she danced for over five years and performed an array of soloist roles in both classical and contemporary repertoire.
In 2020, she retired from performing and returned to Canada, joining the faculty at the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts. She has since taught students of all ages and abilities, sharing her extensive knowledge and deep passion for the art of dance. She is committed to inspiring the next generation of dancers to follow their dreams and to discover the same joy in ballet that has guided her throughout her career.
