OUR FACILITY

Located at 126 James Street South in Hamilton, Ontario, HCA is a home for artistic exploration, offering a diverse range of over 100 arts programs tailored to individuals of all ages and skill levels. From music and dance to visual arts and acting, there’s something for everyone.

The Conservatory’s rich heritage and inviting atmosphere offers 18 music rooms, a dynamic visual arts studio, three spacious dance studios, a meticulously designed Black Box Theatre, an attic atelier studio, and an engaging art gallery.

Originally constructed in 1897 as the Royal College of Music, this architectural gem was expressly designed to nurture the arts and live performances. For over 120 years, this building has proudly served its community, and now as the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts, we carry forward the cherished tradition of celebrating the arts in downtown Hamilton.

Rentals

Our facilities are available to rent. Please note that we do not host weddings or other large-scale events.

A NOTE ON Accessibility

While our historic building presents certain limitations in terms of accessibility, we are actively working to improve our services to better accommodate patrons of all needs and abilities. Currently, our main floor is accessible via ramp, but access to other floors requires the use of stairs. Enhancing accessibility throughout our facility is a top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and patience as we strive to make necessary improvements.
