HCA's Dance program offers classes from ages 2-92, in styles ranging from Ballet to Modern to Hip Hop and Musical Theatre.  Take classes recreationally, or train seriously, at HCA it's up to you.

 

HCA Music students can study a wide variety of instruments through either private lessons or group classes.  There's something for every taste and skill level.

 

 HCA's Theatre department explores all areas of the theatrical experience - improvisation, script building, character work, design and directing.  Classes available for all age groups.

Faculty – Classical Realism

 Alexander Dzuybko-Doyle was born in Russia to a family of artists. He attended the Art Academy in St. Petersberg (Russia), and graduated from Art College. In addition to his regular scholastic program, he spent more than ten years studying the techniques of Old Masters, among them Rembrandt, Vermeer, Bouguereau, Tchistiakov and Savisnski. . Alexander is an expert at techniques developed in schools ranging from the Italian Renaissance to Flemish and Dutch masters and art academies of the 19th and 20th century. As well, he is a devoted follower and ex-student of renowned Russian artist Yuri Skorikov.  Alexander has many aspiring students and followers. He teaches workshops and seminars for many individuals and art groups, semi-professionals and professional artists. His greatest motivation is his own successful artistic career and belief that the need exists to reveal many missing links in today's art education. His knowledge and teaching method provide his students with a solid foundation for the development of their drawing and painting skills and also encourages them to establish their own artistic style.

Faculty –Teens Art Foundation Program, Education Programs, Community Outreach, and Gallery Coordinator

 Victoria received her BFA in Fine Arts from McMaster University in 1998. Since graduating, Victoria has worked with the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts as a Visual Arts Instructor; as well as the Community Outreach and Gallery Coordinator. Victoria is the Teens Art Foundation Program instructor at HCA, introducing and developing the skills of students ages 12 - 18. She is an original faculty member of the HCA Children's Arts Exploration Program, which has introduced children from visiting regional School Boards and the HCA Summer Camps to visual arts, dance, drama and music since 1999. As well, Victoria is the Program Coordinator for Culture for Kids in the Arts (CFKA), a charitable organization facilitated at the Hamilton Conservatory. CFKA aims to provide accessibility to arts programming for Hamilton youth and children. Projects supported and developed include the HCA Gallery, Hamilton Nutcracker Art Exhibition Series (2001- 2004), Chamber Music Hamilton at the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts, Today’s Family Summer Arts Exploration Outreach Program, Culture for Kids in the Arts CONNECT Project and the HCA Dance Theatre DISPLACEMENT Project.

Faculty - Children's Art Instructor

 Cornelia Peckart graduated with honors from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1987.  After living in Toronto, Berlin, Ottawa, Pittsburgh, Rotterdam and Burlington she has come back home to Hamilton.  During the journey, Cornelia had the opportunity to work as an artist and educator at a number of internationally recognized art institutions which include the Andy Warhol Museum, AGO, Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh and Villa Zebra in Rotterdam. Her arts practice has earned her a fellowship in photography and exhibitions in Canada, U.S.A., Germany and the Netherlands.
Cornelia focuses on the evolution of popular culture and accepted ideals through drawing, painting, printmaking and photography.
