| The time in history when dignity, serenity, joys and courtly manners were highly valued. Experience the elegant dance with the lords and ladies in the great castle. Travel with the brave young men as they courageously battle their way to knighthood. Sing a song with tambourines and drums; a song of bravery and courage. Draw images from an era gone by, learning lots of art vocabulary along the way. |
| Experience the culture and spirit of the First Nations as they share a legend that has always been theirs. Feel the connection of their spirit to the land as you follow their footsteps through the dance. Hear the rhythm and beat of the song chanted in words that may be unknown. In art, experience the spirit that allows their creations to express their ways. |
| A time of newcomers and new hope as the pioneers bravely built a life for themselves and their families. Examine pioneer and urban life as it was here in Hamilton in the early 1800‘s. Rejoice with the heroes and heroines. Experience the song and the dances that the colonists brought from their homelands, music and dance that evolved to become truly Canadian. Create a work of art that captures not only the struggles of life in these times but also the celebration. |

| Experience Egypt, a place where the wind-driven sands of time have left colossal monuments and carved stone surfaces that tell a story of an ancient culture. Dance and sing the songs that echo celebrations past and recreate some of the wonder and mystery of the hidden treasures in works of art. Bring to life the ancient Egyptian legend “Gift of the Nile”. |
| Travel to the ancient world of Ghana untouched by technology. Experience the rhythms of the drum, dance the Gahu celebration dance, play the stone passing game of Obwisana, learn chants, experience patterns and colours that capture the personalities of animals in costume designs. |

| Visit the exotic land of beautiful blossoms and trees surrounded by the vast ocean. You will penetrate into the mystery of another culture and land, not only through teaching but also through experiencing the exquisite Japanese arts. White faces with paint, kimonos painted flawlessly, paper collage, cranes floating gracefully in form, rice paper lanterns; these arts will take form and through them you will come to discover the “spirit” of the Japanese art form through their own experience. |
| Students will explore and discover aspects of mechanical structure; their engineering, poetry, past and their engineering, poetry, past and future in relation to the arts. Experiment with various materials, media, sound and story and learn through problem solving. |

After many exciting experiences, Lulie finds what he has been searching for. He is met by the penguins in the Antarctic where he meets and joins the elders.
